[1973: Birth] Grant was born.
[1981-85 (Age 8-12): Asthma] Grant experienced chronic, almost life threatening childhood asthma which still continued to be triggered occasionally until he went fruit-based raw vegan.
[1994 (Age 21): Corporate Career] Fresh out of university, Grant began work in the corporate world as an IT Professional, which lasted 15 years and included building the publishing system and breaking world records for hits per minute and views per minute, while working on the high performance teams for the Australian Open, US Open and French Open tennis tournaments, the Grammy Awards and the Bathurst 1000 motor race.
[1998 (Age 25): Vegetarian] Grant went vegetarian after a conversation about:
- the hormones, adrenaline, and unethical residue of eating meat affecting your mindset and behaviour...a difference he experienced when he stopped eating animals.
- factory farmed meat with cancer legally being sold in supermarkets.
[1999 (Age 26): Vegan] Grant realized he had become vegan, having eliminated all animal products from his diet by choosing not to cause unnecessary harm to animals.
[2003 approx. (Age 30): Surf Lifesaving Bravery Awards] Grant was a surf lifesaver (volunteer lifeguard) on Australian beaches for about 10 years, receiving multiple bravery awards in 2005 for swimming 4 people (at once) from almost certain death at a rocky cliff face back to shore in 12 foot (almost 4 metre) waves with 1 flipper and 1 foam rescue tube, and being recorded as one of the top 20 rescues on Australian beaches in the prior 50 years.
[2004 (Age 31): Ultramarathon Running] Grant completed his first ultramarathon, which led to completing 70 ultramarathons over the following 20 years. The longest being 250 km (155 miles) in under 35 hours with no sleep. On occasion Grant has fallen asleep and awoken while still running. Grant invented the sleep squatting technique to take short naps during ultramarathons.
[2005 (Age 32): Fruit-based Raw Vegan] Grant went fruit-based raw vegan after hearing Dr. Douglas Graham's 12 hour audio program "The Perfect Health Program". Overnight, ultramarathon running and recovery got much easier. Grant went SOS-free (No Salt, Oil or Sugar)
[2006 (Age 33): Raw Aussie Athlete] Grant began representing himself with the handle "Raw Aussie Athlete".
[2007 (Age 34): Hosting Australian Retreats, Studying with Dr. Graham] Grant hosted his first fruit-based raw vegan retreat in Australia and met Dr. Graham who he then studied and worked with for many years, helping over 100 people complete 3-4 week water fasts under Dr. Graham's supervision.
[2008 (Age 35): Waterfast, Public Speaking] Grant completed a 29 day water-only fast supervised by Dr. Graham and 6 months later took hours off his ultramarathon race times. Grant joined Toastmasters achieving public speaking certification over several years.
[2011-now (Age 38+): Hosting Thailand Retreats. Presenting at Festivals.] Grant hosted the first Thailand Adventure Retreat which is still being held annually each May during peak durian season! That makes the Thailand Adventure Retreat the longest running fruit-based raw vegan event in the world that is still active! Grant was featured as a pioneer and presenter at the first Woodstock Fruit Festival and countless annual fruit festivals since including the Vegan Wellness Retreat, Dutch Fruit Festival, Macedonian Fruit Festival, Fresh Food Festival in Denmark, Slovenian Fruits and Health Festival and UK Fruit Festival.
[2025 (Age 52): Launched Fruit-based Life Website and Book] Grant launched fruitbasedlife.com and released the first edition of his book "Fruit-based Life: The Food".
[2026 (Age 53): Book Release] Grant released "Fruit-based Life: The Food (2nd Edition)".
