An aggregate fruit comes from one
flower that has multiple separate
ovaries (i.e. an apocarpous
gynoecium).
Think:
ONE flower → MANY ovaries → ONE fruiting structure
For example, a raspberry consists of many little drupelets. Each drupelet develops from a separate ovary of a single flower.
Examples of aggregate fruits are raspberry, blackberry, custard apple, and magnolia.
